How listings are researched

Every listing follows the same eleven steps, and unsourced facts are left blank.

  1. Discover candidates from search results, partner directories and awards lists. Secondary directories are used for discovery only; we do not copy their profiles, text or reviews.
  2. Confirm identity: an identifiable business with an official website.
  3. Confirm an SEO offering on the agency’s own pages. Generic marketing language is not enough.
  4. Verify locations: an office needs a street address printed on the agency’s site. City landing pages are not offices.
  5. Classify services, platforms and industries from the agency’s wording.
  6. Record published pricing exactly as stated, by type and currency.
  7. Find case studies and keep the agency’s claim, metric and period.
  8. Check credentials against the page or issuer directory.
  9. Save sources: URL, quoted sentence and date.
  10. Deduplicate by website and legal identity.
  11. Publish only claims whose quoted source text can be matched on the live page.

An automated check re-fetches each cited page and removes any claim whose quote cannot be found. Pages we cannot fetch (for example bot-protected sites) stay marked as not re-checked automatically.

What we exclude

Businesses with no verifiable SEO offering, pure software, course providers, inactive or unverifiable businesses, duplicate lead-generation brands and anonymous listings.
